For the second year running, about 13 of us saw the New Year in at Brunston Castle Holiday Resort between Ary and Grivan in Aryshire. As last year, a good time was had by all - individual achievement aways are awarded throught the gallery!
See extra pictures of flag-related antics here.

On the first evening, Ewan and I made a start on the beer, whilst Beck gesticulated wildly?!?
Lorraine, Linda and Steve just chilled (congrats on the new job Steve!)
Even Ruth started on the alco-pops eventually, but Doug was strangely beerless at this point! (What happened Doug?)
Lorraine and Ray were actually on speaking terms... I think Ray is on to his stock broker at the moment though!
One of many failed attempts to photograph Wortley looking happy. Ruth had really stuck into the alco-pops by now :-)
Linda and Lorraine, no not a two headed monster, just two people sharing a sofa!
Ruth and Becky very kindly cooked for us on the second night - and thay couldn't resist posing in the kitchen for piccies...
Claire is playing with Peter the Polar Bear, which Ruth seems to think is cute. Ewan has "the boys" on his knee (in addition to the obligatory beer!), while Becky admires her elbow.
Ruth and Becky about to open the Haribo - they get kind of hyper on that stuff!
Ruth with Peter the Polar Bear and Robbie the Reindeer (he's actually a reindeer, moose cross!)
Is Ewan in trouble here? Trying to shoot himself? What is that accusatory finger pointing at?
Steve and Sandy entering into the spirit (or in this case beer) of the occasion.
Claire - "It was this big"
Me (with Peter and Robbie) and Ruth. Ahhhh. Sweet!
Ruth and Claire - "As clear as your conscience"
Awwww. Innit sweet.
Linda has been confused by a (triumphant) Lorraine...
...then suddenly catches up with the joke!
Hognamay, Doug and I play Noughts and Crosses with a set where all the pieces are shot glasses - excellent fun! (Thanks for the Noughts and Crosses set Neil!)
The girls, just before an (abortive) attempt to play Pictionary.
Robbie and Peter
Kirsty was concentrating at Pictionary...
...as were Linda And Lorraine...
Ruth and I see in the New Year together with some Fizz...
...whereas Ewan just passes out...
...and Steve felt like a piece of fruit (gooseberry?)
The assembled masses...
...waited for Claire to figure out her camera...
...while we tried to work out whether Becky was experiencing pleasure or pain!
Little exploding bags of confetti livened things up...
...and covered everyone from head to toe.
Sandy evilly tries to surprise Douglas in the kitchen!
Linda and Lorraine futilely try to pick the confetti off...
...or is it dandruff?
Doug practising for the 2002 village idiot awards.
Becky is clearly having the desired effect with her whispers to Ewan...
The official group photo with all 13 of us!
Ruth succumbing to gravity...
...and getting covered in muck in the process!
New Years Day, bright and clear...
...so some of us walked up to the ruined Dalquharran castle.
The brave crowd consisted of Doug, Steve, Kirsty and I - posing here in the doorway.
The view from the drawing room of the castle.
A friendly cat came to seek attention from us...
...which Kirsty duly provided!
My arty shot of the Ivy clad wall in the sun.
The castle in the low sun as we left.
Doug, Kirsty and Ray as we walked back across the fields.
Ruth - Happy New Year babe!
My "marble maze", a quality christmas gift from Doug - thanks!
Sandy didn't get out of bed until very late on the first, and didn't feel too well.
Ruth and I on New Years day.
Sandy and Doug chilling...
...before the game of "rude word" pictionary got under way!
Becky, Ewan, Ruth and I went walking in Girvan after everyone else had gone home...
...on a cold and windy day.
A seagull lining up for a bombing run, while Ruth smiles sweetly - oblivious to the threat!
Ruth and Becky couldn't resist the swings - don't they look happy though!
