Business Essentials 2004

I attended the IEE course Business Essentials for Engineers in 2003, and I decided to go back in 2004, as a member of the organising committee and as a syndicate leader for the infamous "Business Game".
The business game splits the attendees into groups, and gets them to run a simulated company over the duration of the course. After each exercise the scores, or share prices, are posted by the judges. It sounds like any other role playing or team exercise, but there is something about the way it is run that gets everyone really fired up. By the final presentations, people really believe they are running a company and the competition between teams is intense...
