St Abbs Splash In 2008

I went down to the annual St Abbs "Splash In" underwater photography competition to buddy up with Sarah. I didn't enter as this was my first time in the water with my new Fuji F31... Here's how we got on!

	Vis wasn't that great, so it was a good day for macro shots, and trying to figure out the best settings for the flash!
	My next target was a sea-scorpion lurking on a the pebbly seabed.
	This is a wee nudibranch, with funny mottled colouring.

	There was a fair bit of surge, so the weed was swirling all over the place.
	I just hung out while Sarah snapped - in this case, snapping me (thanks for the pic Sarah!). I look a little bit lop-sided with my torch and camera on my left...
	Sarah was edging me up towards the surface to try to catch my reflection.
	My bubbles hit the surface before I did fortunately!
	Back on the surface there was a bit of a swim to the shore...
	...from the dive site, "Seagull Rock".
	Weed in the shallows, reflected in the surface thanks to strong sunlight.
	On our second dive these Rock Cook followed us everywhere...
	...hoping to be fed, although this shouldn't happen in the marine reserve!
	Another thing that shouldn't be going on in the marine reserve.
	This guy is exactly where he should be - in is lair under a rock!
	A wee prawn also in a rocky hole - plenty of room for him to grow into this home.
	Sea urchin, I never tire of photographing these!
	A Snake Pipefish - quite common and a relative of the seahorse.
	They always look so cheeky popping out from amongst the weed.
	Starfish. Another favourite!
	Blue-rayed Limpets happily munching on some kelp.
